Why Become a Designer?
It’s a long story, and I haven’t quite collected my thoughts yet. What I can say right now is that design gives me a spark of excitement and immediately felt like a fitting career choice for me. I hope I can get an opportunity to keep pushing forward at becoming a better product designer.
How I Learn
In university, I took an elective course on Human-Computer Interaction for my major. Although I didn’t consider becoming a designer at the time, the class quickly became one of my favorites.
After I decided to become a product designer, I began my self-education. I have been taking Udemy courses, reviewing my old notes from school, going through online resources, and learning via practice projects.
What’s Next?
Here is my plan going forward:
- Continue my job search and keep applying to jobs
- Go through more Udemy courses and other online resources
- Build projects and document the process to create case studies
- Write and share my ideas on my blog
